Dear Sir/Madam,

Town and Country Planning Act, 1990 Appeal by: Forestry Commission Site: 37 & 39 Woodgate Rd, Mile End. Coleford, Glos GL16 7QJ Development: Outline application for the erection of a detached dwelling with ancillary works. Planning Inspectorate ref: APP/P1615/A/10/2141159/WF

Members of Dean Forest Voice learn, with regret, that the Forestry Commission have decided to appeal the refusal of the above application.

As you will be aware from the Case Documents forwarded to you, there was much public opposition to this application when submitted. The main point of opposition hinged on the fact that the development was to take place on Forest Waste which is part of the Statutory Forest of Dean, and as such subject to the laws that protect it. The proposal is also contrary to Policy (R)FBE.8 - Protection of Forest Waste.

The debate held by the Development Control Committee of the Forest of Dean District Council came down heavily against approval, and we hope that you will uphold this decision.

I enclose for your consideration a copy of the minutes of the debate and the votes recorded, I also enclose a copy of policy (R) FBE.8 Protection of Forest Waste, as agreed in the Inspectors report at the Local Plan (existing) Review.

Please will you send us a copy of the decision letter on the appeal.

Yours sincerely

Keith Morgan
